Start your walking tour of Venice in the morning or afternoon. Meet at a central location and set off with a small group limited to 15 people. Alternatively, select a private tour exclusively for you and your party. Your guide is a well-informed local who provides insight into the former maritime republic.

Stroll the pedestrianized streets to historical areas and particular districts that include Rialto, San Marco, and Cannaregio. Cross charming footbridges that connect some hundreds of small islands that comprise Venice, including the Rialto Bridge. Get a look at the surrounding area, once the financial and trade center of Venice, and walk past Marco Polo's house; where one of the world's most famous travelers was born.

See Campo Santa Margherita and the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, where the 16th-century Italian painter Titian is buried. Upon crossing Campo San Bartolomeo see the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo, the resting place of many Venice doges, or leaders, of the city-state. See the Scuola Grande di San Rocco and finish at St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco).

Your guide can offer recommendations on where to eat and how to spend your free time in Venice.

She was very nice, funny and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour a lot. We walked around Venice s lot before and saw a lot of things already, but she explained a lot and gave a little bit of a historic background, which is very important. We were definitely the youngest couple there, however we didn't feel left out and she took the time to answer all questions anybody had. We started and ended on time. 2 hours flew by very quickly.

A MUST DO TOUR OF VENICE!

This tour was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Denise is extremely personable, loves what she does, and takes pride in being a true Venetian as she should! She told us facts about architecture, the history of Venice and how certain things influenced what we see today, took us to the hidden spots that had funny and interesting history, and was always willing to answer any question we had, along with take pictures for us! If you want to take a tour while in Venice I absolutely recommend this one. She gives you all the insights to food, other sight-seeing tips, and many more. It was truly her attitude and personality that made this tour excellent!!
