This tour provides a great introduction to the distinct flavors of Venetian cuisine. Make your way to meet your guide and the other members of this small-group tour. Your first stop is a bar that occupies the former site of a charcoal store. Soak up the historic character and sample cicchetti such as marinated olives and polenta wedges topped with seafood.

Stroll over to the Cannaregio neighborhood and duck into an 18th-century watering hole on the bustling Strada Nuova. Sink your teeth into some of the bar’s famous polpette, or spicy fried meatballs. From here, cross the Grand Canal on a traghetto passenger ferry (own expense) and stop at the historic, open-air Rialto Market, where many Venetians shop for daily fresh produce and seafood.

Visit more bars in central Venice, each with unique atmospheres and specialty cicchetti. Taste different varietals of regional wine and toast your Venice vacation with a glass of sparkling Prosecco. At the end of your tour, say farewell to your tour guide and fellow food lovers at the iconic Rialto Bridge.

Great guide! Great food! Great wine!
, Aug 2022
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! The food and wine were excellent! Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Venice.
Fun outing!
, Aug 2022
It was a great adventure! Our group was a little rowdy (day drinking) but Camilla handled it well! I'd do it again!
Seeing Some Bars of Venice
, Aug 2022
Nice little tour of a few bars within Venice to get some wine and snacks while seeing some of the neighborhood. The wine and food was decent, but nothing spectacular.
Just OK
, Aug 2022
It was just ok. Very expensive for what you got. Our tour guide was nice but it only included 4 places not 5 like advertised. The last place we were there for like 10 minutes given two wines and the desert was one small cookie. We paid for 4 people way to much. And finally decided do not like the food way to fishy.
This is the first thing you should do in Venice!
, Aug 2022
This is the first thing you should do when you arrive in Venice. An absolute must! Camilla was amazing. She took us through the best parts of Venice where they have the best markets, restaurants and bars. All at a very good price. My fiancé and I did it completely the wrong way around. We did St Marks and Doges Palace first, along with spend horrific amounts of money on lunches and dinners. We were thinking 3 days was great but enough for Venice. If we did the “experience Venice like a local” tour first, we’d have had an even better time at half the price. After we did this tour we wanted to stay longer and Venice is now definitely a place that we’ll be coming back to. You’ll want to stay twice as long after this tour.
Not worth the money
, Aug 2022
Ursula, the guide was very sweet but instead of 5 stops, she only did 4 stops and crammed 2 glasses of wine, a chiccheti and one warm cookie in the last stop. At one of the stops one person asked for white instead of red wine and the guide changed it but when I asked for the same she said she can't. At an other stop she gave part of the group one kind of food and the other half got another kind of food. She said more food will come and each part of the group will get to taste the other food. We waited for a while but no more food came so she continued the tour like nothing happened.

Must Do!

Perfect way to explore Venice as a local! The food and wines at each stop were delicious. Our guide was terrific and helpful! We had an older woman in our group and she always sought out a chair for her. Such a great experience!
See a local's Venice and taste traditional Venetian foods! An absolute must!
, Jul 2022
What an amazing start to our Venice trip! Camilla is an amazing guide and took us through the more local parts of Venice to sample traditional food and local wine. We took her recommendations and went to a few other places the next day. Great tour and a great way to get away from the more touristy parts of town. Highly recommend!
A MUST! Lots of fun

True to its name - Venice like a local!
, Jul 2022
Our Venice food tour with Ursula was an unforgettable experience! "Venice like a Local" was true to its name - we tasted many adventurous, Venetian tapas-style dishes. Each stop included a local wine as well.
Highlight of Venice
, Jul 2022
We spent 8 days in Rome, Florence and Venice and our tour with Silvia was the highlight! Thank you so much for giving us a locals perspective of Venice while helping us learn and laugh. Silvia is the best!
Amazing food and Sylvia was the best!
, Jul 2022
We absolutely loved our experience with Sylvia! She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Venice’s food, art, and history. There’s nothing like taking a food tour with a local trying dishes you normally wouldn’t order and finding out how much you love them. You really get a feel for being a local while eating at some of the best holes-in-the-wall. The group was small and intimate which made for great opportunity to chat with everyone and move through the city easily. We cannot recommend this tour and Sylvia enough!
Educational, tasty and truly a unforgettable Venetian experience!
, Jul 2022
Camila was passionate and enthusiastic about the whole experience! She picked a truly authentic experience with food and wine for us to understand the past present day Venetian culture. She was amazing and I would recommend this tour again and again!!
, Jul 2022
Lovely time meeting new people. Our tour guide was kind and thorough. Her love of travel really shone through. The food and drink was plentiful and tasty and took us to areas we wouldn’t have otherwise experienced.
Do it!!!
, Jun 2022
Wonderful tour, lots of fun facts about Venice shared - Camilla was amazing - so lovely - Cicchetti was excellent- learned a lot about local cuisine and while they may have been small bites - we actually got full! Only negative feedback was finding the meeting spot - a bit confusing - would have been beneficial if we had the name of the building.
