Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Meet your private guide in central Venice and head to the pier to board your private boat. Set sail around the UNESCO-listed Venice Lagoon and admire the views as you glide past San Giorgio island, Certosa island, and Sant Erasmo island.

Arrive at Murano Island and jump off for a walking tour of the tranquil island, pausing to admire the 12th-century Church of Santi Maria e Donato. Then, discover the island’s claim to fame—Murano glass—as you visit a glass factory, enjoy a traditional glass-blowing demonstration, and perhaps purchase some exquisite hand-made souvenirs.

Back on the boat, it’s a short cruise to Burano Island, where the multi-colored houses and picturesque fishing port make for some striking photo opportunities. After taking in the scenery, pay a visit to a lace factory to discover the island’s rich lace-making heritage.

After returning to the mainland, your tour ends back in San Marco Square.

Excellent tour guide, you could tell that he enjoyed his job. He gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant in Burano, he had a good command of English and knew the history of the area. The trip to the glass factory was fascinating.

The tour guide is a very lovely chap- jovial and very knowledgeable. The glass factory was a memorable one. It’s fascinating how the glass are made and the creativity behind it. The black pasta in Burano was lovely as well.

Good explanarions and a nice ferry boat ride. Burano is beautiful but the murano glass factory part of the tour is basically 10 minutes of seeing a jar being made and 1 hour of walking around the shop.

Watching the glass blower at work was a lovely experience. The streets of Burano are pretty and make a relaxing change from the beautiful intensity of Venice. We had a terrific guide who booked a great restaurant for lunch and since we were a small group we all dined together and enjoyed his advice on local cuisine. A great day out!

Not the best

Decently organized through a private boat but our tour was combined with French as well. So it was in both english and french so half of the time you just look at each other. English was not really good, so only could understand half of it. Overall it could be more personalised and wine can be offered in proper glasses too.

I have a mobility scooter and they could not have been more helpful in accommodating me. Nora, our guide, was incredible and we learned so much. The group was small, about fifteen people. Captain of the boat was great, too, in that he always had a ramp ready for me. Plenty of time on each island. Even had time for a little shopping.

We had a wonderful tour yesterday to both islands. The highlight was watching a glass blowing demonstration. We walked around Borneo and had time to grab a quick delicious lunch.

Boating, adventuring to Burano and Murano Islands!

So, this is the experience to take. The boat ride and Alex our guide- excellent. He took the time to make sure we all got the best experience. Burano island is one of a kind- colors of the buildings bright and unique. Restaurant food is fresh and we had a beautiful seafood plate, and a cold beer seaside. We saw a very old church, an authentic Murano glass demonstration, and tips for dining… thanks Alex!
