This activity will end right where it started.Pick-up service is possible from selected hotels only. If you don't choose any of the selected hotels, your meeting point is the main meeting point for the tour - the tourist bus terminal in front of Terminal F restaurant and SPLIT red letters photo sign.
Make an early start with an early morning pick-up from select hotels in central Split and soak up the scenery on the journey to Plitvice. On arrival at the Plitvice Lakes National Park, follow your guide on a thrilling hike along the boardwalks, stopping to take photos of the park’s glittering lakes, cascading waterfalls, and dramatic canyons.

Start with a walk around the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera), where you can get up close to native wildlife and enjoy dazzling views over the lakes. Then, hop aboard a sightseeing boat for a cruise around the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera) and pass by the awe-inspiring Veliki Slap waterfall, which towers over 255 feet (78 meters).

Finally, tuck into a tasty Croatian-style lunch at a local restaurant (optional; own expense) before hopping back in the minivan and setting out on the return journey. End your tour with drop-off at your hotel.

A big day but definitely worth it!

Our guide Elena was very much on the ball with where we needed to be at each point in the day. It was all about minimising waiting times as the NP was extremely busy. While she was super efficient at what she did, at first she didn’t appear very friendly, so it took us a little time to warm to her manner. In hindsight this probably worked very well as everyone was right on time at each point of the tour as she made it abundantly clear what had to happen. The lakes and falls were worth the crowds and the 7 hours of travel. Nothing could prepare you for the beautiful colour palate that nature provided here. It was quite a warm day at 30+, and the 4.5 hrs hiking around the lakes was a little tiring for us (mid 60’s) however we kept up with the younger travellers without too much trouble. Much of the time was spent navigating uneven boardwalks and quite a few irregular steps, although we started at the top and worked our way down which made a difference.

The park itself was OK but there were far too many people and long queues. The park has to start limiting the number of daily admissions. It was not possible to enjoy it.

This is an excellent tour. Plitvice Lakes National Park is incredibly beautiful and visiting is an experience not to be missed when travelling to Croatia. The great lunch at a traditional rural reastaurant in the end is another plus. Comfortable bus and attentive and proactive tour guide.

Pristine nature. Lots and lots of waterfalls, clear water. Most amazing were the kilometets of wooden paths over the lakes, so that humans could share nature without disturbing the lakes' ecology. Extremely enjoyable trip with Gray line tours and super-guide Ivanka.

The tour guide Petar (I hope I spelled this right haha) really made our trip. He was funny but also very knowledgeable of not only the Lakes but also of Croatia of a whole and I was interested in listening to him giving us the history or Split, Croatia and the surrounding areas. The actual tour of the lakes was brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone and would defiantly go back if/when we visit Croatia again. Thanks again Petar.

We were a group of 5 friends traveling on this tour. We are so glad we booked it. Everything was great! Pick up went smoothly, our guide Petar was knowledgeable, and the park was stunning. Petar was clearly an expert that had an amazing balance of sharing information, allowing for solo time in the park, and naps on the bus. The park was so stunning, his route through the park clearly exceeded the way others were taking. He was also happy to share tips and recommendations for us during our stay in Split.

Tour and Tour guide were incredible. Elena was very pleasant and accommodating. Viator were excellent and efficient in organising pick up and drop off arrangements once I called and spoke to someone. Only criticism was whether the slight delay in drop off could have been managed by cutting back on the 1 hour stopover possibly.

Plitvice Lakes are the most beautiful natural landscape I have ever seen. This tour was amazing and the weather was just perfect. An incredible place to take photos. Our tour guide, Ivana, was enthusiastic, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the park, and she helped create a very positive and energetic vibe for our group. I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody traveling to Croatia!

This park is beautiful and 100% worth the trip. On this tour our guide, Elena, was incredible! I would recommend to anyone. Do be prepared to wait in lines and walk slowly through the park, as it is very crowded. Still worth it!

Spectacular and very unusual scenery, unlike anywhere else in the world. Beautiful waterfalls and brightly colored lakes. Somewhat strenuous hiking at times, considering the unusually hot & humid weather. Elena was a terrific and fun guide, and Dowd was a skilled and reliable driver. Great team!

The national Park was beautiful, well protected and well organized. The trip, however I would not recommend for anyone, unless you enjoy standing in line for most of your day and paying numerous hidden fees. We showed up in the morning at the departure point to find out that the national park fee was an exclusion. And that information was included as part of the “exclusions” listed on the Viator site. Unfortunately, no representatives from Viator, nor the tour operator could find what those costs were and as the conversations went on, the fees took on the appearance of being negotiable. After several minutes of expressing our frustration and having no “clear” information on fees, they dropped from 250 Kuna for all 6 of us, to 100 Kuna for children (under 18) and 150 Kuna for students. There is also no description of your means of travel nor any sense of what the day’s schedule looks like. You should know, if leaving from Split, that you will be on a passenger bus with 50 other people, and that the day will likely be in the 12-13 hour timeframe which includes a 3.5 hour bus trip on either end. Our tour guide was phenomenal, and patient beyond words. The scenery, among the most beautiful you will find. But I would highly recommend you rent a car, go early, and avoid spending 60% of your day standing in long lines as the other 20,000 humans elbow their way to the prime photo locations. Go early, to beat the heat, go small to avoid the cumbersome groups, and go on your own to avoid the exorbitant and unnecessary costs.

Hello, thank you for your honest feedback. Information that entry tickets to the National Park are not included in the tour price is clearly stated in several places of the listed tour (during your booking process and in the section Before you go, on your voucher). Prices are listed in your voucher and our representatives have shown you this information on your tour ticket and on the official site of the National Park. Prices given in the morning were not negotiated, these are official prices from the National Park and everybody can see that information since it is a public site. As a tourist agency, we have a ticket reservation for the National Park so our guests don’t need to wait long lines to enter the Park. The price for adults in June is 250 HRK, for students 200 HRK, and for children 100 HRK (with our reservation). All prices are clearly stated on your voucher and on the official site of Plitvice lakes National Park. Every morning we have two representatives from our agency at the meeting point. They give all the necessary information to our guests before boarding and going on a trip. We had another 44 passengers on the tour (most of them booked at Viator) and all guests had clear information that they need to pay the entry ticket to the National Park. Also, all information about the tour and the tour itinerary are visible before you book your tour. I am sorry you missed a tour description, tour itinerary, and all information given before you purchase our tour. Hope you still enjoyed the beauty of Croatia’s most famous National Park and managed to have a quality time with your family. Kind regards from the entire Sugaman team

This was the perfect day. It is a long journey from Split, but so worth it. Our guide Petar was amazing, he was so knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts about Croatia along the way. He stayed with the group in the park and had planned the best route for us. We visited a lovely restaurant for lunch and the food was so good. We had the best day and Petar even helped us plan the route to take on a boat trip and made sure we had plenty of photos to remember the day. Thanks for a great day 😊
