Browse artisan shops for special souvenirs then refresh with specialty snacks in local cafes (own expense). Regroup with your guide at the pre-arranged time then return to your Seville accommodation.

Itinerary
Stop At:
Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos
The Alcázar (castle) of Cordoba, with its thick defensive walls, served both as a fortress and a palace, and is a perfect illustration of the development of Cordoban architecture through the ages. Roman and Visigoth ruins lie side by side with Arabic remains in this magnificent building, which was once the favourite residence of the different rulers of the city. However, when Cordoba was taken by Fernando III «the Saint» in 1236, the former Caliphal Palace was in a pitiful, ruinous state. Alfonso X «the Wise» began the restoration work, which was finished off during the reign of Alfonso XI. It has fulfilled many different functions over the years, such as Headquarters of the Inquisition, or a prison (first half of the 20th century).

Stop At:
Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba
the beauty of Córdoba’s great mosque, with its remarkably serene and spacious interior. One of the world's greatest works of Islamic architecture, the Mezquita hints, with all its lustrous decoration, at a refined age when Muslims, Jews and Christians lived side by side and enriched their city with a heady interaction of diverse, vibrant cultures.

Stop At:
Jewish Quarter (Juderia)
Córdoba's old Jewish quarter consists of a fascinating network of narrow lanes, more atmospheric and less commercialised than in Seville although souvenir shops have emerged.

Very disorganized tour. Felt Cheated

If you're in Andalusia, please visit Cordoba, especially the Mosque, but please do not waste your money on this tour! First and foremost, I felt cheated because the tour was not as advertised. I booked an English tour, but I realized that the tour was ONLY given in Spanish when I arrived. I asked the guide if there's an English option, and she told me that her tour company never gives English tours. So I just ended up spending the whole day not being able to understand a word the guide said. What a waste of money! I would have been better off if I had just taken a train to Cordoba by myself and hired a local guide who speaks English. As for the disorganized part, the communication between the tour operator and customer was just horrible. I received a message telling me the pick-up time, expecting that I would have been picked up from my hotel. I read some reviews about the confusion about pick-up time and location, so I sent a WhatsApp message to confirm, then learned that the pickup location was actually a 10 minute walk from my hotel. If the company is already reaching out to customers about pick-up time, it shouldn't be hard to include some more instructions. If I hadn't double checked with the company, I would have waited at my hotel like an idiot. In addition, there was never any communication about the itinerary of the whole tour, e.g. where we visit first, how much time we have at each location, when we take a break, or when we have time to explore by ourselves. A guy who might have been from the tour company showed up when we got off the bus to hand us off to the local tour guide, and then just disappeared. We never saw him again. It seems that they outsourced different parts of the tour, i.e. transportation, guide, to different companies, and as a result, the whole experience lacked coherence, and definitely not worth what I was paying for. I would give a 0 star if I could. The only star is for the effort of the local guide (the people who spoke Spanish told me that she did a good job explaining the history of the Mosque), and the comfortable transportation. Other than that, there's really no point doing this tour if you can't understand anything and have a terrible experience.

You can not miss Córdoba! And this tour is perfect for it. It has enough time to visit the Mosque-Cathedral and the old town. The guide knows a lot and is constantly sharing interesting data. Note that because of Covid, things close earlier. We didn’t have time to see the Sinagogue or the Alcazar from the inside.

Cordoba mosque, cathedral and city

Visit to Cordoba mosque, cathedral and quarter. Guido, the bus driver was exceptional and friendly and integrated well with us. Though I was the only English speaking person, I still had a great guide for myself when in Cordoba to tour mosque and cathedral. Had enough time to tour the city on my own, some of this (at least 45mins)could have been allocated with a tour guide to tour the other parts of the city, though I did manage on my own. Recommended tour!

We are very sorry for what happened. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet the requirements. We waited until the last minute to see if the tour could go ahead. We again reiterate our apologies. Best regards.

Smart way to visit Córdoba if staying in Seville

Recommendable! Positives: prompt pick-up (from Seville) and departure (from Córdoba). Román entertained us on the coach trips with historical and cultural knowledge. Travel was comfortable. Area of improvement: Though Ana’s knowledge of history is rich, guiding, in my opinion, is not a lecture, it is an introduction and invite to explore the Alcázar, the Juderia and the Mezquita. Tourists visit sites to personally encounter the historical spaces, not listen to a lecture (which a podcast, audio tour, travel guidebook or scholarly reference adequately provides).

I thoroughly enjoyed the small group trip with Sergio to Córdoba. The journey was explained well and we had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Never felt rushed and as well taken care of from pick up to drop off.

Anna was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable and personable. However, it was difficult for everyone to find the bus when it was time to leave.
