Tulum Ruins Cenote and Swimming with Turtles from Playa del Carmen

The ruins were interesting and beautiful even in the rain. The cenote was an amazing and unique experience. Though the ocean was a bit rough from the recent rain, we saw so many turtles and our snorkeling guides Ruben and Alex were the best. Our your guide Selene was personable and knowledgeable and kept everything running smoothly.

This is one of the best excursions we've done! Herlan was amazing 👏 It was a fully packed trip! The ruins, swimming with the turtles and Akumal, the Mayan buffet, the private Cenote, and the chocolate tour with the glass blowing and tequila tasting! The Cenote and the Mayan food was the best! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. It was exactly as described. We did this in May 2022!

This was an amazing day trip and good value for money, I felt. Our guides, Herlan and Mikey, did a great job. Tulum is beautiful. I would’ve liked more time to wander there. I think Herman’s talking points could’ve been shorter and then allow time for the group to wander while staying close to him for comfort level. The lunch was very good as well. I also really enjoyed the Cenote which was not as crowed as another one I’d been to. Finally, swimming with the sea turtles was the most amazing experience. I’ll never forget it. We saw probably about 6 of them as well as small mana rays, starfish and a crab.

One of the best experiences of our trip worth it 100%. Our tour guide Herlan and Alejandro were awesome, they got us there safe & secure, both were very friendly and knowledgeable. Herlan Is a Mayan, he was very knowledgeable about the ruins, gave us lots of exciting and fun facts and made the tour the best. The cenote was awesome fun, to jump almost 20 feet into that crystal clear, blue cold water, very refreshing after a hot day touring the ruins!! Swimming with the turtles was very fun, the guides there were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do it!

At Tulum, the guides were very informative. He was of Mayan Ancestry. Very interesting. The Cenote swim was great as we were hot from the ruin tour. Then we had lunch which was very good. The turtle swim was great! Huge turtles very close. You have to swim out to them without your fins as the fins scare them. But the snorkel and mask are fine. All places we went you had mandatory life vests for the water. Which are actually helpful for snorkling but not for swimming. Our tour guide was Henrique. He was great!

Amazing experience!! Out tour guy (Herlan) was very nice and had a lot of information to help us understand about Tulum. He was very passionate about what he does and im so happy we ( my friends and I)had him as our tour guy!! I recommend him to everyone. First time in Mexico and i loved it and Tulum was amazing. :)

Rhett was a fun and knowledgeable guide. We never felt rushed and always felt safe. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our excursion. It was seriously worth it and I highly recommend it! We started off at the Mayan ruins in Tulum and loved hearing about the history. Then we went to the beach at Tulum to snorkel. We saw turtles, sting rays, and more. A very fun and unique experience. We had two our guides at the beach site that joined us in the water to guide us and warn us for any sharks, haha. We actually were hoping to see a baby shark (there are no big sharks). Then we had an AWESOME lunch at a local restaurant on our way to the last stop. I love getting food in a non-tourist trap. The lunch is included in your purchase. It was a buffet and very good and I had the best mango margarita of my life!! Last, we went to the cenote which we were so happy to do at the end. The water is so refreshing. We were lucky to have a really great, kind, and knowledgeable tour guide, HERLAN!!! He really made the day trip worth it and he is so kind! The driver of our shuttle, Allen, kept us safe and watched over our belongings. Please try out this excursion!!!

Everything was great at the ruins we had very nice tour guides. The lunch buffet with the blessing before it was beautiful and we were so appreciative of the warm hospitality. The Cenote was more beautiful in person than could be imagined. Truly a bucket list experience. However when we got to Akumal beach the snorkeling instructor was very rude and had a nasty attitude. She accused me of kicking a sea turtle and accused the other person of touching the turtle which was absolutely false. She then cut the tour short and made everyone leave. To make matters worse she humiliated me in front of the entire group by telling them that we have to leave because I kicked a turtle. Who in their right mind would purposely kick any animal. She acted as if I had done something to her from the very beginning when I needed to use the safety tube since I am not a strong swimmer. Being humiliated publicly is not ok and it was unfair. I would never book this again considering the staff just made excuses for her behavior. I deserved an apology and the entire group agreed that it was insane and unfair. I have an assumption about why I was singled out but I don’t need to write that here.

Myself and 2 daughters (17 & 23) went on this tour. We were picked up at 7:10. Took us to another store to check in and pay the $12 tax pp. then we went on the bus and we were given a sac lunch/breakfast- sandwich, fruit bar, juice box. We went on our way to Tulum ruins. Our guide, Rhett, was very informative. Spent about 30 min explaining and giving history. He gave us about 30 min of free time to wander about. We were given water, which was good because it was very hot. From there we went to the cenote which was absolutely amazing. We spent 1 hour there. After cenote we went to a buffet style lunch. Drinks were not included so bring extra cash. There is also a store there. From there we went to Akumal beach and went snorkeling with 2 guides. It was awesome. We saw turtles, sting rays, squid, coral, and lots of fish. Super cool. We spent an hour in the water. After that we went to a store where they have glass blowers and did chocolate and tequila tasting!! That was an extra bonus and super fun. Loved it. The day overall was spectacular and I Will remember it forever. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was it took a while to get going in the morning and my seat on the van was not comfortable and felt cramped. We were a total group of 12 so size of the group was nice. Everyone was friendly and we were able to chat at lunch. We were dropped off at our hotels. Overall expect to be gone all day. Total time was about 11 hours.
