Treasured experience

This is absolute must. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we learned so much about the process of making true balsamic vinegar. It’s a huge treasure and tradition that exists in a very small region of northern Italy. We learned about how families have passed this tradition from one generation to the next and how time and aging these grapes creates this precious culinary delight. We were also overwhelmed by the kindness of this family that was so happy to share their home and traditions with us, and sat us at a table filled with good cheese, sliced meats and Lambrusco wines, made there on the property too. I ordered as much as I could afford, and will do my best to share with family while I tell their story. It’s a heartwarming experience I’ll never forget. I was able to ship my purchases home for a reasonable shipping fee….making it even better! Thanks again for the experience of a lifetime.

We had a really great time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Modena and/or surroundings! Marcello and Paolo are super friendly and open. It's really amazing to see and hear about their tradition and family history. We have learnt a lot! We got to taste amazing balsamico and we were surprised with the amount of delicious food and wine that was shared with us on top of that. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! 100% worth the price!

We had a terrific time on this tour. The property is beautiful and the 7 generation family history of balsamic vinegar making is epic. We learned a lot about the process and tried a lot of fabulous product. A beautiful selection of classic Modena snacks were provided along with Lambrusco. Super fun. The family is lovely.

This was a highlight of our trip-Highly recommend! Marcello was a great host- he was informative and engaging. We learned about the differences in Balsamic Vinegar, got a tour of the facilities, and learned about his family history making balsamic. Then we had an amazing tasting of different types of balsamic & different ages, and then finished with a bottle of their Lambrusco wine and a huge spread of cheese, salumi, bread, and olive oil to eat with their balsamic vinegars. The dessert (ricotta and homemade chocolate cake) was the cherry on top.

This was my third time visiting a balsamic vinegar producer in Modena and far and away the best experience. The passion and authenticity of the family was evident at every stage of the visit and all of the products made by the family were extraordinary. I can't recommend this activity highly enough!
