Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide by the entrance to ‘The Last Supper’ exhibit, at the centrally-located Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie. You have 15 minutes to take in the stunning mural, which has survived centuries of neglect, weather, and a devastating bombing campaign during World War II. Find out why the painting is considered one of the finest in the world, from the elegant contrasts of light and dark to the dramatically grouped figures of the apostles.

After viewing the painting, you have time to talk with your guide about its history, the unusual painting methods that Leonardo used, and how it became a cultural touchstone worldwide. Continue into the Santa Maria delle Grazie church, once a private place of worship for the Sforza and Dukes who ruled Milan in the 15th-century. Follow the church’s architecture from its 15th-century beginnings to renovations by Renaissance master architect Bramante. Don’t miss the stunning apses, refectory and serene cloister, where you can stroll shady arcades around a garden courtyard.

Il Cenacolo
Leonardo's masterpiece, the Last Supper, one of the world's greatest painted masterpieces occupies the end wall of the previous refectory of the XVth century Domenican Monastery. Painted by Leonardo between 1495 and 1498 portrays the Apostoles seated together with Jesus when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him. The Disciples' emotion transpiresfrom their gestures, mouvements and faces and contrasts with the apparent immobility of Christ who dominates the centre of a rigously symmetrical composition in perfect perspective. The painting was miraculously untouched by the August 1943 bombings which damaged the nearby cloister and part of the church.

Great Experience with Last Supper Tour
, Sep 2020
We went on the Last Supper Tickets and Guide in September. Our guide was Elena and she was superb. Her English was very good so we had no trouble with communications. We met outside the entrance 45 minutes prior to our visitation time where she gave us an introduction on what we were about to see. She had a picture of the Last Supper and explained aspects of it and irregularities of it. This gave us more of an insight into the painting that we would otherwise would not of had. Elena is also well versed in the history of the area which helped put the church and painting into context. Elena as a guide is not allowed into the painting room, per Covid rules, so this is the reason for the meeting beforehand. She escorted us through security and dropping off backpack into a locker. When we viewed the painting there were only 5 other people so it was almost like a private viewing. We had 15 minutes with the painting to admire the masterpiece. Currently the limit is 18 people per group so we felt lucky. After the viewing Elena escorted us into the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church. She explained the history of the church which was very interesting. Elena is a very knowledgeable of Italian history. She answered all questions and was happy to help us in our Milan visit. I highly recommend this tour.

Changed the time last minute
, Dec 2019
On the day of our tour which was also the day we were flying in they changed the time of our tour from 5pm to 3:45. Needless to say we were late as we had to rush from the airport to the tour. We literally made it to the last 25 Minutes. I’m not sure I understand changing the time on someone same day and without even talking with them. Not worth the money for the trouble it caused
Had a great time!

Last Supper with a guide
, Nov 2019
We had 15 minutes in the actual room with The Last Supper. It wasn't crowded. I was very glad to have gone with a guide because he prepared us for the viewing by giving us history of the times and Leonardo. In the room, he explained the significance of the painting. It was much better than if I had gone on my own.
Fabulously exciting experience

Quick and wonderful. The guide imparted the history really well. Started on time so don’t attempt to be late! We got there just on time and one person was late so did not make it. You really get time in the room to look at “last supper” again the 15 min is strictly adhered to!

Whilst only very short (about 45 mins), it was great that there were limited numbers of people allowed in to see the The Last Supper at any one time as this enabled you to get really close to the painting and take your time admiring it. Very different to the Mona Lisa at the Louvre! Our guide was very knowledgable.
