Everglades Airboat Adventure with Transport from Miami

The tour was ok, but the picture in the advertisement is misleading. I thought it was going to be an open boat with 5 or 6 people and it was a closed one with over 40 passengers!

Directly goto to evergaldes website, its cheaper there. these guys charged me $80 extra for three people.

We scheduled 2 trips. One an adventure that said "hanging mangrove trees, etc." We saw an alligator in the wild and had Captain Bob as our driver. He was fantastic! The second tour said it was a "safari". Turned out to be the very same trip. Disappointed in that.

Wasn't too happy with this experience. Bus was crowded, no one was wearing masks (not even the tour manager), not very well organized at the Everglades Holiday Park, didn't like the Gator-show, airboats are louder and more harmful to nature than expected.

The tour was supposed to include a “jungle walking trail” which was actually an alligator show in which 5 alligators locked in a very small space are forced to do stupid, unnatural exercises while a presenter makes questionable jokes. These animals would clearly be better off into their natural space. Moreover, we spent more time in the bus than discovering this part of the Everglades, which is not even in the real Everglades park. The airboat tour was short (but this was mentioned) and you really don’t see much. Bottom line, don’t trust the presentation of the tour on the website, it’s false advertising.

We did NOT have a good experience on this trip. When you register for the trip, they ask if you are vaccinated, which is completely on the “honor system,” so there is no way to verify that people are actually vaccinated. There were 50+ people crammed onto the bus to the park and not a single person was wearing a mask, despite the fact that there was a sign on the bus saying “masks required.” On the bus, the driver made us sign a waiver saying that the park and bus service was not responsible for anyone contracting covid-19, even though the bus driver was not enforcing the mask rule and NO ONE was wearing a mask besides us. On the airboat ride, the tour guide stopped the tour early so that he could spend the last 5 minutes talking about why he needed tips. He would not let people off the boat until he could get off and block peoples’ paths so that he could ask for tips. Other visitors said “sorry I don’t have cash,” and he said “that’s okay I have venmo,” very much pressuring people to give him money. The alligator show was very underwhelming, it was just a guy in a pit full of alligators, and he spent the majority of the show not even talking about alligators. He claimed that the alligators were not “in captivity,” but there were 16 gators crammed into a small pit that was very unkempt and it was clear that their welfare was not a priority. There was a “baby alligator photo opportunity” and the baby alligators all had their mouths taped shut, very inhumanely. By the time we were done with the tour and show, the cafe and gift shop were already closed. There was nothing to do at the park, there was only the boat tour and the show. THIS IS NOT THE EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK!!!! To avoid getting back on the overcrowded covid-hazard bus, we had to order an Uber service to take us home. This was a -5/10 experience, we do not recommend. If you are looking for a better experience, I recommend going to the Everglades National Park instead.

Seeing the alligators from the airboat and the iguanas. The show was interesting but a little hokey!

We got lucky on our tour; we saw 6 alligators from the airboat. The guide said it is a hit or miss. The guide explained a lot about Everglades and took time for us to take pics of the alligators. The airboat is loud and we should have brought earplugs.

Great experience, especially with the hotel pick up. We were gone for most of the day. Airboat ride and short alligator show.
