A very well-organised trip. We were literally the first people to enter Chichen Itza that day which made for a lovely experience - worth the early start. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and answered any questions we had.
Visiting the private cenote was such a great experience. The water was beautiful and the homemade food delicious!
Would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

Don't waste your time if you want Cenote Yokdzonot

So had we done the tour we paid for- meaning the cenote YOKDZONOT- instead of someone's backyard cenote- I would have given this tour a 4. But once again- false advertising! An overpriced lunch was an additional charge. Which really- ok - I don't mind being gringo priced to help a poor family BUT I highly object wasting my precious holiday time on going to the wrong location!! I booked this tour to go to a particular cenote. The backyard cenote does not compare!! Chicken Itza and Izamal are best seen in another tour The only reason I give this tour any stars at all is for the guide Alejandro who was highly informative & would be much better off working for a more reputable business! He's great!!

Hello, it's been a long time since we stoped going to Yokdzonot, sorry the missunderstanding in the advertisement. We already took care of the wrong information, however we disagree in some facts, like gringo prices. We don't charge extra prices to anybody, In this tour has been people from many parts of the world and all have paid the same price. The family and the cenote that we visit is unique and off the beaten path, not touristy and is a very good way to meet a local family who by a stroke of luck found a cenote in their backyard and taste very good home made traditional food, WE have been to many cenotes like Yokdzonot, but never like the one with the family.. Thanks for you star to Alex, he is very good, that is the reason you can see his name in many five stars reviews, we take care of him very well.

It was a long but very nice trip. The guide and driver were both perfect. The timing was just about perfect for this tour and was accompanied by excellent commentary. This size of the group made sense and we were fortunate to have good compadres for our day.

This was a great tour all around! It was an early start, but definitely worth getting to Chichen Itza ahead of the crowds. Our guide, Edgar, really knew his stuff and gave us a wonderful tour of the site. The lunch was delicious and the cenote was incredible (and not crowded at all since it was part of the family's grounds - a hidden gem!). We closed out the day by stopping in Ixamal which was a charming and beautiful town.

Jam packed itinerary to visit all the "must sees". Definitely go EARLY to Chichen Itza to avoid the crowds and the heat. The cenote was really magical as well.
Just note that the entrance fees to both are NOT included. Carry cash to pay for those (+733 pesos directly to the facilities).

Edgar was a fantastic tour guide, extremely knowledgable, patient, and efficient, he did it all! We left promptly from Merida and arrived at Chichen Itza early before the crowds, by the time we left I couldn't believe how packed the visitors center was and we beat all of them to it. We were the first group in. Edgar was fantastic at explaining all we were seeing, and could answer every question. He is an expert on the Maya world and we were so lucky to have him. Chichen Itza was unbelievable, the carvings were fascinating and I am so happy I chose this tour. The lunch at the cenote was delicious and the cenote was not what I expected, its a private one under a local's home and made the experience all that much more unique. Izamal was beautiful and we had time to explore and even climb the towns ruined pyramid in the city center. All around fantastic experience, thanks Edgar!
