The audio is mediocre at best and some of the sockets for both the earphones and USB ports don’t function. If you expect in-the-moment commentary/history — DON’T.

Map does not match actual stops. Several stops were deleted from the route. Julia Travel company that hosts the service seems more interested about their logo on the map than having accurate information. Many headphone jacks did not work so we had to play musical chairs to finds ones that did work which was hard for a family of four. At some stops, we were not allowed to board the bus and had to wait for a later bus although seats on the bus at the bus stop had seats available.

A decent way to see Madrid

Great way to see some of Madrid and yet a feel for some Spanish history. Only cons: there was a time when there were two buses, one's door closed, so I walked to the other (the bus host saw me, because he was walking onto the bus too and looked right at me). They closed the door and, when I knocked to enter, the driver pointed to wait for another bus. The bus was not full. Luckily there was another bus 10 seconds behind. The other con: there was a time when the bus driver hit the break too late and almost hit a moto (we were at a red light). That then impacted the sound of the audio. Not to mention, the audio was in and out throughout the trip. Not the best hop on, hop off bus I've done, but it was a decent experience nonetheless. I'd still recommend.

The bus were always packed and some of the stops were suspended which defeats the purpose of the tour since we had to walk at least 20 minutes to catch a bus. Also the staff was rude.

This tour was not what I expected based on previous experience on other trips. There seemed to be very little information given throughout the tour about landmarks and relevant history. The audio feedback was often delayed as well, so by the time an explanation of a landmark was given, we were far past it.

Route was ok,but Madrid traffic is horrible - we could walk same rpute 15 min faster than bus took. The most annoying beyond belief was upper deck bus roof top - it was sliding violently every time driver would start or brake. Horrifying sound every few min. Some headsets were not working, once we got new once, some port were not working then. They should invest a bit in the bus, for sure.

I have attended On/Off Bus Tours in the past year in Barcelona, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. All were well run and maintained. Madrid’s Tours we’re not frequent enough, the audio system did not work for everybody, and the sites of interest were not always suitably visible.
