Best Experience In Italy

My wife and our 4 kids ages 6, 7, 12, 14 spent over 2 weeks in Italy in different parts of the country. We were fortunate to see and do a lot of fun and unique things. However, we all agreed that our favorite and most memorable part of the trip was spending our time with Lunia and her family. It was truly an experience we will never forget. We learned how to make the most delicious pastas and tiramisu all with Lunia and Lydia's helpful guidance and support. But, we also had the great privilege of sitting down for a family dinner where we spent the evening talking and laughing together and of course enjoying an amazing dinner! By the end of the night we felt like we had arrived as guests, but left as friends. We would encourage anyone that is considering this experience to do it! It was wonderful and we wish the best for Lunia, her family, and her friends!

We had a great time with Sylvia cooking in her home! We were a group of 6 friends traveling together and we met a great couple that booked the experience as well. Sylvia was fun, informative and accommodating. We cooked gnocchi and gnuddi for dinner and tiramisu for desert. Sylvia even attempted gluten free versions of the dishes for two of our group. Would recommend for any group of friends or family. Thanks for a great time!!
Not pasta and no recipes

We were supposed to receive an email with the address. I attempted to contact by email and phone the host to no avail. I had to call Viator in the USA to get the address. Also, This is not pasta as most people think, like spaghetti, elbow , lasagna. It was gnudi and gnocchi . I requested the recipes and they were ever sent. I sent several emails. Very expensive what was given.

Had a wonderful evening with Lunia & her beautiful family at their home in the hills surrounding Lucca.
We made ravioli & fettuccine with two different sauces. Then for dessert a traditional Italian custard.
It was an amazing experience & so much fun!!
The food was fabulous… spending time with this lovely family… priceless!!!

Our original “Mamma” was sick. We were paired with Lunia. Her family lives just outside Lucca.
We made two kinds of pasta with amazing sauce/glaze & a wonderful traditional dessert.
Lunia, her husband & two sons were so welcoming and fun. It made for a perfect evening.
This was our favorite thing we did in Tuscany. Getting to spend time eating & laughing with this lovely Italian family was priceless!!

Easily one of the most memorable nights of our entire trip! Antonietta and Piero were the most kind and gracious hosts. Not only did we have a blast learning to make pasta and tiramisu, but we thoroughly enjoyed sharing a meal and chatting with them. I couldn’t recommend this experience more strongly.

This was definitely a highlight of the trip! I cannot say enough about the hospitality of our host and her family. Not only did we get a great lesson on Italian cooking, but were welcomed into their beautiful home. It was like having dinner with long lost family! I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Italian food and needs a break from all the hustle and bustle of vacation!

Super easy and fun. We took a cab from Lucca to Antonietta's home, a 10 minute ride, and were greeted by her, Monica (the translator) and Antonietta's husband Piero. "Anton" and Piero gave us a tour of their farm then we got down to work. While the average group size is about 6, there were just the two of us today. We had an absolutely wonderful experience learning not only the tricks of making different types of pasta, but also about Tuscan cuisine generally. After happily toiling away, we all sat down together to a delicious meal of our pasta, some bruschetta we'd made and other items on the menu that Antonietta had prepared in advance, and had great conversation. This is a "must do"!

We had our cooking class with Antonietta in Lucca. Her husband, Piero, welcomed us in Lucca and showed us a few specialties of the city. Then we drove to their house in the country. They grow their own vegetables and also keep animals there. Wonderful!
Antonietta, her husband and the lady who helps with the translation are incredibly hospitable and in every sentence you feel how much they love Italian cuisine. We made bruschetta and pasta with a salsiccia sauce together. It was great to see how a real Nonna cooks. Of course, there are no gram-specific information or the latest scientific findings needed. Experience, tradition and love for the ingredients are key. Simply great!
