Meet your private guide in the Piazza della Signoria in central Florence in the morning for an introduction to your electric bike. Admire the statues in the Loggia, including a bronze of Perseus and Medusa's head, as well as the Neptune Fountain and a copy of the 'David' statue. Set off from the busy square with your guide to explore the city.
Ride through Piazza Santa Croce to see the pretty church from the outside. This is the church where many of Florence's famous sons are buried, including Michelangelo. In this piazza each June 24th, there is a festival during which locals play 'Calcio Storico' – a rough game that's called a soccer precursor by some.
Pedal across the Arno River and ride up into the hills above Florence to reach the Piazzale Michelangelo. This square offers one of the best panoramas of the city. Nearby, don't miss a stop at the San Miniato Church – one of the most beautiful Romanesque buildings in Tuscany. Right next to the church is an Olivetan Monastery.
Cycling back toward the city, you'll explore the Oltrarno neighborhood. Visit the Piazza Santo Spirito and see the Palazzo Pitti. Crossing the Arno River again, you'll see the famous Ponte Vecchio as well as the Loggia del Porcellino. Following the route of the Vasari Corridor, you'll ride through the Piazza della Repubblica and arrive at the Piazza del Duomo.
Marvel at the multi-colored marble in the three buildings in this square – the cathedral, the baptistery, and Giotto's bell tower. The cathedral (known as the Duomo) was begun in 1296, but the dome wasn't added until 1436, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. The facade dates from the 19th century.
The final stop on the tour is in Florence's Medieval area, where you'll see the house Dante once lived in.
