Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Make your own way to the centrally located office to meet your professional chef-guide before your afternoon or evening tour starts.

Transfer by minibus to a private estate situated in the hills above Florence. Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional fettunta (toast with toppings) appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine. Soak in views of the rolling hills as your instructor shares the backstory of Italy's famous foods: pizza and gelato.

Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pizza dough, and explains regional variations. After preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven. When ready, sit down to enjoy your pizza accompanied by wine or beer.

For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. Your instructor provides recipes for the pizza and gelato so that you can make them at home.

Your culinary experience ends with a return trip to your starting point in Florence.

All was great

We had a really nice afternoon with Max and Luca, our inspiring and entertaining teachers. Now all the students were really good and it was nice atmosphere when we finished the class by eating our good pizzas and ice creams. During the bus journey up to the bodngården we saw beautiful views, the landscape and Firenze.

This is simply a must do. Luca, Max and Luigi were great hosts; funny, engaging, helpful and informative. The scenery is spectacular. The food is probably some of the best you'll have whilst in Italy. It's just one heck of an enjoyable experience that I recommend to everyone. Absolutely brilliant.

I recommend this 100% to anyone going to Florence. It was an extremely fun (and funny!) experience in a beautiful Tuscan farm. Learning how to make the delicious pizza and gelato was just the added bonus.

Luigi, Luca and Max made that evening so funny and they did a great show! The Pizza and Gelato was soooo good For those who do not have a hotel in the city, be informed that it is not possible to come to the house by car. You have to meet in the city.

I loved the cooking classes, but I enjoyed the personalities presenting the class even more. The class was both entertaining and informative and I feel like I can take the art of Pizza dough and Gelato making home with me. Cheers and thank you, best tour we did in Italy, highly recommended,
