Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Take your pick from flexible daily departure times (depending on ticket availability) and meet your guide at either at the entrance to the Uffizi or your central Florence hotel. After purchasing tickets for your group, head inside the spectacular museum, a former palace commissioned by Duke Cosimo I de Medici and designed by the great architect and artist Giorgio Vasari.

Make the most of your visit thanks to your guide’s extensive knowledge of the collection, which features Italian painting and sculpture from the 12th century, Early and High Renaissance, Mannerist, and Baroque periods, plus an impressive collection of Dutch, French, and Flemish works. Get an up-close look at truly iconic paintings like Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and La Primavera, Leonadro da Vinci’s Annunciation, and Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo, plus a remarkable array of works by other masters including Rafael, Titian, Bellini, Caravaggio, and more.

Throughout the 3-hour tour, learn about the lives and legends of the artists, such as Leonardo’s invention of the sfumato technique, Michelangelo’s terza maniera creation, and the tragic early death of Raphael. It's a great way to explore beneath the surface of the exquisite collection for a memorable artistic experience in Florence.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Gallerie Degli Uffizi
The Uffizi, built for the Grand Duke by Vasari in the XVI century, is one of the oldest and is counted as one of greatest museums in the world. It can boast of paintings by the exquisite Botticelli, Leonardo, creator of sfumato, Michelangelo, the creator of the "terza maniera” and Raphael, who died tragically young. Works by Caravaggio and Titian hang here and there is an important collection of Flemish, Dutch and French paintings. The gallery displays paintings from the Florentine and Sienese XII centuries, the Early and High Renaissance, Mannerism and Baroque. It also houses an important collection of ancient sculpture. The building and the Piazza themselves are themselves of prime importance, as wonderful examples of Mannerism. The Uffizi are still being enlarged and an increasing number of works are leaving the deposits and finding a permanent home here.
