The scenery

It was very difficult to understand the broken English from the vineyard owner. The wine at the first vineyard was far superior The country scenery was great and it passed a very pleasant afternoon away

Stunning Tuscan wine tasting

Our guide Constantino was fantastic, full of energy and passion. Both wineries were great, first was more traditional, second more modern, 7-8 wines tasted in total, plus loads of bread, cheese and olive oil snacks - really good value for money. Due to the pandemic there were only 15 of us on the tour, which worked really well, but I imagine there might be more in peak times.

A great intro to wine tour.

Thanks to google maps and the "look for a fuscia jacket", we found the departure location easily. The bus was comfortable and full of younger people than us, but everyone was very respectable. The tour guide Renata was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and provided some information on Florence as we were driving out to the vineyards. Strongly suggest going to the bathroom before getting on the bus as the wineries only have a couple of bathrooms to use and you do not want to miss anything. I also strongly suggest bringing a bit of food and water on this tour to help if you are not a huge wine drinker. The first winery, Palagio, had a fabulous, friendly, audible guide who instructed us through the whole tour. This place provided quite a good amount of wine to taste in your glass which keeps getting refilled as you taste the various wines. They provided cheese and olive oil with cracker bread which was so good. We drove 30 minutes to the second winery and were toured by a kind, more gentle tour guide which didn't seem to keep people's attention as well but the wine was good, with less in the glass but I didn't mind that considering the generous amount I already had, and we were provided with some fennel flavoured crackers. A short drive from there to Greve, we walked to the "square" and bought a bit of food and coffee at Pasticceria Chianti which was decently priced. Back on the bus we had a nice and quiet one hour drive home in the dark. I thought it might have been good to start the tour earlier so we can drive home in a bit of light, but after the wine, everyone was good to chill. The driver is incredibly skilled, wow! Thank you for a very good tour.

GOOD TIME GOOD BUDGET

We went at the beginning of February, and my friends and I had a fantastic time. There were about twenty people on the tour, and the bus still had empty seats. We got to visit a small town, a packaging company, and then finally a winery. We got to drink multiple glasses of wine, lots of cheese, crackers, and salami, and the tour guide/people at the winery were very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Would highly recommend for such an affordable price! Honestly might do it again!

Disappointing

Did not realize when I booked this that this would be an enormous group tour. There were 60 people on a big bus and we drove to 2 pretty mediocre wineries, and it was pretty chaotic with such a large group. Would definitely not do this again.

Dear customer We are very sorry to read that you have not enjoyed the tour. We go to some of the most beautiful wineries we have in the Chianti area, in authentic tuscan style and surrounded by the notorious greenery. Here we sample some of the wines they produce themselves for letting our customers live a lovely experience, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Apart from that the price includes the roundtrip transport and the assitance of a tour leader during the whole tour, considering all this we believe it is a good compromise. However, just so everybody knows, we also have the private tours department that is very active. We are always happy to customize the clients' experience and organize tours for smaller groups, families, solo travellers, you just need to pick what is the best option for you. We hope that you will come back to Tuscany and will be contacting us so that we can organize a nice day for you! Kind Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

Great wine!

We sampled great wine on this tour! We traveled on a rainy day and this was a perfect way to spend the day. We did get back very late due to several other car accidents causing a lot of traffic (obviously out of the control of our guide/driver). I'm not sure if accidents happen frequently on the route, but it may be something worth considering if you need to be back at a certain time

Constantino (tour guide) and Frankie (bus driver) were great on our adventure. Would have like more history and information on the way there but what they did provide was important to know. We did make a quick pit stop to teh American cemertery of WWII which was wonderful to see. (would have been cool to get out and see rather than from the bus, but I understand we were on a schedule and it wasn't part of the tour just a bonus piece but thanks Frankie!) The first winery the person we met was a bit soft spoken so a bit difficult to hear when we were outside, but once inside in a private room, she was easier to listen to. Wines were delicious and her explanation of each were educational. Second winery the woman was very animated and you could tell her passion for wine and olive oil were very strong, so this stop was much more exciting. Overall this was a great experience and would recommend to others if you don't have time to do an all-day tour, this half-day one was worth it.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. It started 20 minutes later than expected and got back an hour late so make sure you have plenty of time! The two winery’s were so nice and despite having on and off rain that day the tour was still amazing! Would do it again!
