Punta Cana Small-Group Sailing and Snorkeling Catamaran Tour
Small group catamaran excursion
, Feb 2020
The small group trip was excellent. The crew was great. They certainly made sure everyone has a great time. Booking was a breeze and all we had to do was jump in the van and get on the boat. Thanks for the great afternoon.
1/28/2020. Hotel pickup was quick and easy with a confirming text a day prior. We were greeted by Domingo and our Captain Crispy. The boat ride was relaxing and enjoyable with plenty of beverages and snacks (nachos and guac). Snorkeling was fun - we saw lots of fish and sea life. Domingo took us around and drove down to pick up unusual sea life to show us up close. We were in the water for at least 30 minutes which allowed us to see fish, coral and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean ocean up close. Following the snorkeling - we sailed to a shallow "pool" area where we could swim and enjoy cocktails for the floating bar and fresh sliced fruit that was delicious. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this tour and we plan to do it again next year.
Set sail on the crystal blue waters surrounding Punta Cana on this small-group experience that's limited to just 16 guests. Swim in a nature reserve, snorkel in the seas and enjoy drinks aboard your comfortable catamaran. Relax in one of the boat's hammocks and let the crew paper you with strong tropical cocktails. Anchor in a sandbar and enjoy beverages from a floating bar as part of this wonderful water experience.
A very pleasant experience! Transfer arrived on time and the tour guide (Banjamin) had a ton of enthusiasm. Great value for money as you get a speed boat ride, great lunch & unlimited alcohol, catamaran ride back and some time to explore the island. One of the highlights of our holiday in the Dominican Republic for sure!
It was our first trip during our stay in Punta Cana and we enjoyed it very much! The Saona island is very beautiful, it’s a true paradise. The music was great and the staff too ;) I cant stop singing “me pide leche” Would recommend to anybody.
Experience the idyllic Saona Island on this full-day tour from the mainland via speedboat and catamaran. Zip out to the island on a fast boat, which ensures you have plenty of time to hang out and relax or participate in watersports. Cruise back aboard a sailboat, sipping drinks from the open bar and dancing to island rhythms. Hotel pickup and drop-off makes for an easy round-trip experience.
Full-Day Package: ATV 4x4, River Cave, Catamaran and Snorkeling from Punta Cana
, Jan 2020
We booked the full day excursion and it was broken up into 2 parts. This allowed us to go back to our hotel change and eat before the second excursion. Loved that!
ATV was amazing!! Small group of only 6 carts/ATVs and our guide David was fantastic- honest straightforward and helpful. He tried keeping us away from the chaos including crowds and aggressive vendors. I’d give this tour a 5 all day long and would book again.
The catamaran was fun overall but not as expected. We spent a whopping 15 min snorkeling, then had to sit idle on the boat while they took us to an excursion only 4 people on the boat had booked... and we had to wait for them!! (This was swimming with sting rays and sharks which are CAPTIVE and NOT anything we would have signed up for!!!) We ended the day at a shallow area where tons of boats gather to drink it up and have fun. This was super fun but not for kids IMO. I would not book this second portion of the excursion again simply because it wasn’t what we thought it was.
Nice landscapes and fun atv ride but useless guide
, Dec 2019
The atv ride was fun but we could have had the same amount of fun without the guide. He was basically useless. He just drove in front of us the whole time and when we reached the attraction points he would just leave us there saying we had 25 mins. No explanation about anything. After 25 mins he would appear out of nowhere gathering us to leave. At the end of the tours he was also asking for tips. What for?! He just drove, the same as us! The catamaran and snorkeling were nice however, we are happy we didn't buy shark and stingray encounter because poor animals were held captive, forced to swim with the tourists and were forcefully grabbed by the guide who would place the stingray on the tourists' backs. This was truly one of the saddest scenes I've seen. This should be banned!
This full-day package combines an ATV ride, catamaran cruise, and snorkeling excursion—allowing you to experience multiple island highlights in a single trip. Drive your own quad or ride as a passenger and explore the Dominican countryside. Then board a catamaran and cruise along Punta Cana’s coastline, stopping to snorkel at a coral reef and see tropical fish and maybe sea turtles or rays.
The island of Saona is one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean, however the company you choose to travel with will make a great difference between having great experience to having average experience. Unfortunately Viator attracts companies with bad reputation and our trip reflected that. Pick up and drop off resulted in horrible experience of wasted time and nerves, we didn't get to the island until late afternoon, the island itself wasn't well taken care of, litter everywhere and lack of proper shower facilities, lunch at the island was average at best. Avoid Viator and travel with reputable companies that would make your time and money worth.
Probably would have scored 5 stars if the transfer to the main bus after pickup was better....told would be 5 minutes but we were left stood at the side of a main road for a good 30 minutes without update from pickup driver. Saona Island itself was stunning and the food & drink provided by the boat/island teams was OK but did not cater enough for varying dietary choices/needs of customers.
Visit Saona Island, an idyllic speck of sand and palm trees in the blue Caribbean, during a full-day tour from Punta Cana. Board a small speedboat for the thrilling ride out to the island, including a stop at a natural swimming pool where you can see starfish. Upon reaching Saona Island, spend the day exploring; stroll along the beach, relax in the white sand and swim in the azure waters. Sip drinks from the open bar and enjoy a buffet lunch of traditional Dominican fare. Round-trip transportation from Punta Cana is included.
Went January 2020, A very international group, but all languages seemed to have been catered well, yes there were some coach changes but we weren’t waiting too long, we were picked up from hotel at 0730, arrived back 1940. Water provided for on coach, our guide at the national park a bit pushy for a tip. We had a good variety of sights to see, this tour cheaper than what hotel reps were offering, would recommend
Explore the oldest city in the Americas on this walking tour of Santo Domingo. During this 10-hour excursion from Punta Cana, follow your local guide to view some 5th century colonial monuments, Las Damas Street and Diego Columbus Alcazar, the first cathedral built in the new world. Stop by the National Presidential Palace, get fantastic views of downtown and shop for souvenirs at the local markets. Lunch at a traditional Dominican restaurant and round-trip transportation from Punta Cana hotels are included.
With the chaos of arriving in an unfamiliar country and not speaking the language this process was so easy. As soon as I arrived my driver Oscar made me feel at ease and knew exactly where to take me. Thank you to Oscar for a job well done.
Excellent service. Waiting for us with a sign when we arrived and brought us quickly to our resort. they were right on time for the return transfer from the hotel to the airport also. Very good transfer

Monkey land is a good 40-60 minute drive from the resorts. Transport was on an open air vehicle. Bumpy ride but not unbearable. Plantation tour was interesting but not riveting for kids. They showed us how cocoa, coffee, and coconut products were made. QEnded with a sales pitch to buy products. Monkeys were the hilight of the visit. 20-30 minute interacting with them. Visitors were given bowls of fruit and monkeys swarmed to get food. Monkeys were well behaved. We weren’t allowed to pet them and they pretty much ignored us except to get the fruit.
My biggest complaint is that our concierge tried multiple times to Confirm our pick up time for the morning of the excursion. Tour company was too busy or didn’t answer the phone. Finally at 6:30 pm the evening prior to thee excursion, Viator emailed us with a pick up time. We were concerned!
Prior to our visit I read all of the reviews talking about how soft and adorable the monkeys were, and it somehow surpassed all of our expectations. The monkeys were incredibly soft and photogenic, and Monkeyland was one of our many highlights of a great trip to Punta Cana.
Observe squirrel monkeys on this trip to Monkeyland, deep in the Dominican Republic's jungle. Ride a safari truck on this half-day tour through local coffee and cacao plantations, then visit the monkey sanctuary and its botanical gardens. Learn about the local farmers' organic farming methods, sample local coffee or hot chocolate, and see and feed 20 monkeys that have been raised to be comfortable around people. Round-trip transportation from Bavaro and Punta Cana hotels is included.
This was an amazing trip. Full day of fun. Benjamin is by far the best daddy out there!! He made sure we were taken care of all day long. Would have been nice to have a little more time on altos de chavron to explore. Natural pool and saona island some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen!! The crew on the boat keeps everyone feeling alive. Only complaint is time spent on bus and switching busses back and forth. But still very organized!! Would definitely do this trip again. Worth every penny!! Thank you Benjamin “big daddy” you were amazing!!!
Explore the remarkable Altos de Chavon and dig your toes in the sand of Saona Island during this full-day excursion from Punta Cana. Walk through Altos de Chavon, a recreation of a 16th-century Mediterranean village perched above the Chavon River and frequently used as a film set. Travel to Saona island aboard a catamaran to relax on the white sand beach fringed with coconut palm trees. Enjoy a barbecue lunch of typical Dominican fare and an open bar.
Buggys were fun but landscape not great just bumpy roads. Catamaran was good but if we knew it was a party boat we wouldn't have booked. Music was loud and lots of very inappropriate dancing. We are a young couple so wasnt too bad but not to everyone's taste and not really what we were after. We wanted more snorkeling really as natural pool has no fish just lots of boats with drink and music.
The dune buggy adventure was great fun! Make sure to drive thru the mud puddles and enjoy the fantastic swim at the beach half way thru the experience. Cave swim was also a highlight. The guides take care of you and ensure you have a good experience.
Ride a 4x4 buggy through the Dominican countryside, then board a catamaran to explore the azure waters during this combination tour from Punta Cana. Stop at an country farm to see how chocolate, cinnamon and coffee are harvested and processed, then continue to the white sand Macao Beach. Board a double-Decker catamaran to cruise the turquoise waters offshore. Don the provided snorkel equipment and jump in to swim with schools of tropical fish. If you wish, there is the option to schedule these activities on two separate days.
I have been on this tour 3 times and this was the best. They gave us Honda UTV's this time so we didn't get as muddy as the 2 times before. They still had a few open buggies like the picture if you really want to get dirty. They are also adding things to the cave area so it is different every time I see it,
This half-day tour mixes several activities for an exciting day of sightseeing and riding all-terrain vehicles. On a two-seater quad bike, drive through local villages, visit Macao Beach, explore the countryside, and discover a natural cave where you can cool off with a quick swim. A local guide is on hand to answer questions about what you see.
Parasail 500 feet (150 meters) above the coast of Punta Cana, then go snorkeling off a party boat during this thrilling excursion. Don a safety harness and ascend into the sky, getting panoramic views of the spectacular Dominican coastline. Then, board a catamaran and set sail for a local snorkeling spot, diving in to swim with tropical fish among coral reefs. Sip drinks from the onboard open bar and stop at a natural swimming pool for a relaxing dip in the warm water. All equipment, snacks, drinks, and round-trip transportation from Punta Cana are included.
Saona Island is like paradise on earth surround by white sand beaches, turquoise clear waters, and countless palm trees this atmosphere invite you to relax.
Saona Island tour is a lifetime experience! This is a tour you have to do, enjoy of this paradise in Saona.
We loved the ziplining. The course was good and the workers were pleasant. They made you feel safe. I guess I'm not the quite the monkey lover, though. I had no idea they would jump all over you and in your hair. Some people got pooped on. They were cute but I would have liked to stop holding the food bowl after the first round of getting swarmed. People should be told to bring an extra shirt along.
The ziplines were awesome! I would recommend this very highly. The employees were very helpful and very friendly. Monkeyland was a lot of fun. The monkeys were active and they are treated very well by the staff. Overall it was a lot of fun!
Best. Day. Ever! Everything about the day was perfect (despite the rain). From our driver and tour guide to the Zipline instructors to the Monkeyland and Typical House crews - everyone was courteous, VERY knowledgeable and all had a good sense of humor. The views on the drive and from the ziplines were beautiful. The monkeys were adorable. The food at lunch was awesome. We learned a lot and had a blast.
Combine ziplining, a visit to the Coconut House, and a stop at Monkeyland during this 9-hour excursion from Punta Cana. All entrance fees, round-trip transportation from select hotels, and a buffet lunch included.
Punta Cana Small Group-Sailing and Snorkeling Catamaran Trip
Amazing- so much fun! We HIGHLY recommended it.
, Aug 2019
Book this tour and tip well. This was an incredible value given what we paid for it. It was a fantastic trip from booking to our ride back to our hotel.
The guys made sure everyone was having a great time. There was no sitting/ waiting around on the beach or anything like that. It was riding around on a beautiful catamaran, snorkeling with really nice equipment, and swimming in shallow water while our hosts made drinks.
People from other (way more crowded) boats kept coming up to us saying they wished they booked our tour.
It was safe, seamless, and really fun. I’d recommend for couples/families/friend groups. You will not be disappointed!
We only encountered people selling stuff walking from the boat to the parking lot.
Explore the waters around Punta Cana aboard a catamaran on this carefully-curated tour. Spend a half-day (select from morning or afternoon departure to suit your schedule) taking in the coastal scenery around Cabeza de Toro Natural Reserve, then don the provided snorkeling gear to explore the underwater world. You can also try out the boat's slide toboggan or just relax on board and soak up the sun's rays. The boat is limited to 27 guests, leaving space to roam around as you please!
Wonderful experience- prompt and courteous driver for the ride from and back to our hotel, beautiful horses, knowledgeable guide, nice little shop to visit at the end. All in all an adventure well worth the price.
The ride was great, we were expecting a group but we got to ride separate just two of us on the beach. Guide mostly leaves you alone unless you ask him for something. Horses appeared well trained without much surprises! Wonderful ride!! We really enjoyed it!
It felt like a private getaway - we only had one other person join us on this ride! Our guide was great - he took pictures of us on the horse, and stayed back to guide the horses in the right direction. The other rider was a first time rider and she didn't have any issues. Highly recommend this experience, and we definitely got our money's worth.

We'll even wash it for you. Although if you read this far, we're sure you don't mind getting a bit dirty
Company was in contact with me before both pickups so I knew exactly when they would be there. Only thing keeping them from 5 stars is that our airport pickup was a little behind schedule and the driver had to be called after we passed through customs and immigration when he had stated he was only 2 minutes away and was probably closer to 15. Not a big issue though. Clean and cool vans to take us to our resort. Drivers were very professional.

Four Adventures: Parasailing, Snorkeling Cruise, Sharks & Rays from Punta Cana
, Dec 2019
The parasailing was for a very short time period. Overall this was fun, the hosts very nice. I bought the pictures that they took and the link expired right when I got back to the states and I didn't get a chance to save any of the pictures I paid for. I tried to contact them to get the link renewed and no one will email me back. I would not buy the pictures again for this reason.
We had a great time during this excursion. The staff were great, especially Charlie. He really does a great job getting everyone on the boat loose and relaxed, and while we were all strangers in the beginning, everyone was having fun together by the end!
The snorkeling was really exciting, as they take you out fairly deep into the sea before sending you down to snorkel... the staff were very helpful to my wife and daughters who don't swim, they still got to experience the exotic fish and wildlife first hand. The stingray adventure was unusual but fun, as well as the shark swimming. We loved the parasailing as well. Everything went smoothly and like clockwork, and we highly recommend this excursion for people who don't have a lot of time and want to pack as much as they can into half a day,
The trip was AWESOME!!! I have parasailed & snorkeled b4 but this was the 1st time for my 8 yr old daughter. She was a little scared at first but loved it after her experience. Would definitely recommend!!!

Truly a fantastic part of our vacation. Not only was it a fantastic ride, but our pilot, Luis, made it very memorable. His talent as a pilot and passion for his craft were contagious. Our first time in a hot air balloon was memorable a a highlight of of trip to the DR. Highly recommend Dominican Balloons!
The scheduled departure date had to be moved, so be mindful that this is a possibility before booking. We did have to cancel a different excursion to accommodate this change but WOW, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! This was easily the highlight of the vacation and I can't recommend this enough!
