Cardamomo Tablao Flamenco
To truly understand Spanish culture, no traveler should miss a flamenco performance. At Cardamomo Tablao Flamenco, expect an exciting experience of the traditional art form. There are three shows every evening—choose the time that best suits you. Dine on Spanish tapas at the venue before the performance, or grab a bite to eat before or after in the restaurant-packed Literary Quarter (Las Letras district).
Things to Know Before You Go
A performance at Cardamomo Tablao Flamenco is a must for those wanting to visit a classic flamenco venue.
The performers’ colorful costumes, modeled after Andalusian dresses, will delight fashion enthusiasts.
If you book a ticket that includes dinner, you’re more likely to get a coveted front row seat.
How to Get There
Cardamomo Tablao Flamenco is located in central Madrid at Calle de Echegaray, 15. The easiest way to get there is by metro—take the 2 line to the Sevilla stop, or the 1, 2, or 3 line to the Sol stop. The venue is about a 10-minute walk from either stop, in the Literary Quarter. If you’re on a hop-on hop-off bus tour, get off at the nearby Prado Museum (Museo del Prado).
When to Get There
Cardamomo Tablao Flamenco is open daily, with three shows every evening—at 6pm, 8pm, and 10pm. Arrive early if you’ll be dining at the venue, as meals are served 45 minutes before the dancers take the stage. Madrid is most popular (and crowded) in July and August. To avoid the hustle and bustle, go in late spring or early fall.
Exploring the Literary Quarter
You’ll find Madrid’s quaint, walkable Literary Quarter situated between the Paseo del Prado and Plaza de Santa Ana. Don’t miss the Calle de las Huertas, where quotes from Spanish literary greats are carved into the cobblestones, and Casa de Cervantes, former residence of the celebrated author ofDon Quixote. Take your stroll in the evening, and stop by one of the neighborhood’s swank cocktail bars or traditional taverns.
