Lamborghini Museum (Museo Lamborghini)

Via Modena, 12, 40019, Bologna, Italy

The Basics

Visitors can see a range of vehicles—from the first 350 GT model built in 1964 through race cars and concept cars—and get a sense of the passion behind the manufacturing process. The museum displays the famed Lamborghini Murciélago, Miura supercar, Countach, Sesto Elemento, and Diablo, along with the new Urus. Many of the older cars come from Ferruccio Lamborghini's personal collection, and the museum offers behind-the-scenes glimpses into Automobili Lamborghini's evolution, including scale models and parts of cars that were never made. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a prototype out for testing.

A visit to the museum includes a factory tour to see models coming off the production line; aficionados can even take a test drive with a Lamborghini dream car. Consider joining a complete Motor Valley tour, which includes visits to other famous car museums and factories nearby.

Great Tour of Motor Valley
The guides were excellent with a wide knowledge of the Italian auto industry. Not only was the car part of the tour great, but I also learned a great deal about the area.

We had a wonderful trip to both Ferrari museums, drive through the factory and Lamborghini museum. Our guide and driver were very gracious and informative. Lunch was incredible 3 course meal that accommodated our food allergies.

Ferrari Lamborghini Pagani Factory and Museum Day Tour from Bologna
Giancarlo was an amazing tour guide! He and his colleague picked us up at our hotel. We were introduced to the tour guides at Pagani, Ferrari and Lamborghini by him. He had a tremendous amount of knowledge on the area and the manufacturers. We enjoyed an Organic Italian lunch, a Balsamic tasting and a pleasant ride back to our hotel. They went above and beyond. We will be recommending them to other friends and family!

Ferrari Lamborghini Pagani Factory and Museum Day Tour from Bologna
Awesome day! Thank You Jean Carlos- our day spent was very special. We met other folks from Australia on the tour and we had a great day together. The 3 locations were terrific in their own culture and personality. The cars were amazing and we learned how they are built and the auto heritage of each company. We would go back in a heart beat! Book It!!

Ferrari Ducati Lamborghini Factory and Museum Day Tour from Bologna
This tour covered all of the major supercar manufacturers of Italy and then the Ducati factory on top of it all. As a fan of motorsports I don't think there's anything better. Our tour guide and driver was as passionate as we were about all of these vehicles which made the experience all the better. I am so glad we did this tour.

Ferrari Lamborghini Maserati Museums-Parmigiano Cheese Tour
Wonderful road trip to all the high end Italian Car Makers. Antonio and his interpreter Marta, made for an extremely interesting and informative day trip. As a lone traveler I felt very comfortable. Learned so much about Ferrari, Lamborghini & Maserati. All works of Italian creativity. Maserati “hobby” making Parmesan cheese was a very tasty treat.

Best Tour I have ever been on

Ferrari Lamborghini Maserati Museums-Parmigiano Cheese Tour
This was absolutely the best tour I have ever been on. My son and I booked this hoping to see some of the Italian cars and taste some of the food. Although we prefer renting our own car and discovering on our own, there is no way to do everything that we did without this tour. Everything--everything was taken care of in advance. They emailed us in advance to confirm our time. They picked us up in a spacious vehicle and drove just my son and I to each location. The driver was a very good driver too--which was a relief to me after sitting in several crazy taxis. At each stop we were given more than enough time to stay, take pictures, go to the bathroom, and buy souvenirs. We also could have test driven several cars (we did not do this, but we had time to do it). The tour operators knew exactly where to go. I cannot put into words what it was like to see so many Maserati's, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's and many other exotic cars. It was a jaw dropping experience. I have never seen anything like it in the United States. The initial Maserati museum was breathtaking--I was shocked at how many beautiful and rare cars there were. The food was outstanding as well. The quality of the Parmigiano cheese was superb and nothing like what the US has. And we got to learn about the types of balsalmic vinegar. I actually tasted and purchased several bottles of 25 year old balsalmic vinegar. If you have a teen boy, this is absolutely the best place to take him. It was the highlight of the entire trip to Italy for my son and he is the envy of every one of his friends. Not once did he check his phone while we were there--because he was engrossed with seeing the cars. There is one other thing to say--I did not expect this, but seeing these cars gave a much more powerful sense of the pride of Italian culture. There is a film in the Ferrari museum which was maybe 10 minutes long, but it explained in words and music why these cars are so important to the Italian people--it is a celebration of their art, style, and engineering, and they have much to be proud of. I rarely ever write reviews, but I owed it to the tour operators and to any other family who is visiting to do this tour. It is outstanding.

Must-do for car/racing enthusiasts

Ferrari Lamborghini Pagani Factory and Museum Day Tour from Bologna
This day trip was exceptional. Ours began at Lamborghini for the factory tour before spending some time in the museum. Afterward we had lunch across the road at the BullBar, all included with the tour entry price. The food was great, and the atmosphere is fun with superclass cruising past every 2 or 3 minutes. Next was the Pagani museum and tour, highlighting Horaceo Pagani's life prior to creating the company before showing the build process for their cars. Seeing chassis number 2 of the original Zonda on display alongside a current Huayra, the museum is a great display of the advances of the company and its productions. Next was Ferrari. Unfortunately factory tours are unavailable, but the museum is a step above the others. With cars dating back to 1930s Alfa Romeos right up to the 2018 F1 SF71-H, and everything in between, you can see some amazing pieces of racing history. Trophies and driver helmets as far back as 1953, supercars advancing through the years all the way up to the FXXK EVO. Across all three museums you can see some of the world's rarest and most prestigious hypercars and racecars. Apart from the actual tour content, our guide/driver Ricciardo was fantastic. On time, extremely knowledgeable about all things motoring and about the local area, history of Bologna and Modena etc, and with perhaps the best command of English of any tour guide we met during our 2 week trip to Italy. Although the tour is a bit pricey, seeing three museums, two factory tours, with all transport and lunch included and the best guide you could ask for makes this absolutely worth the cost.

Ferrari Lamborghini Pagani Factory and Museum Day Tour from Bologna
A fantastic choice for anyone who likes to see fabulous motorcars. The tour guide was engaging and knowledgeable, the day was very well organized and included a stop off for a nice lunch featuring some great local dishes. The museums were all brilliant with enough time to spend in each one and the 2 factory tours at Pagani and Lamborghini were absolutely amazing and carried out by excellent employees from the manufacturers. All in all a wonderful day out and a great opportunity to see the cars that you dream of driving or owning.

Emilia-Romagna's Automotive Museums

The tiny triangle of land between Bologna and Modena is known as "Motor Valley" due to the concentration of Italian car manufacturers based there. If you're a true gearhead, consider taking a private Motor Valley tour to visit the Ferrari Museum, the Pagani factory, and Ducati motorcycle headquarters.
