Tucked between rolling mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is undeniably beautiful, and a few spots in particular offer the best views (and photo ops) of the Catalan capital. Here’s where to find them.

Sagrada Familia Towers

The Sagrada Familia really does have everything.

One of Barcelona’s most famous attractions also offers one of the city’s best views. Take an elevator to the top of one of the church’s bell towers for a panoramic view of the city from its center as well as a close-up look at the ongoing construction work and architectural detail.

Tibidabo Amusement Park

For all the fun of the fair.

The 100-year-old amusement park atop Mt. Tibidabo overlooks the city and is one of the best places in Barcelona for panoramic views, especially if you’re traveling with kids in tow. Make the most of your time by prebooking admission, or opt for a guided tour of the mountain.

The Mediterranean Sea

Ocean views over the coastal city.

Seeing Barcelona from the water offers a different perspective on this alluring European city, so hop aboard a catamaran or wooden boat for an afternoon cruise or sunset sail that allows you to relax and enjoy the views.

Montjuïc Mountain

Enjoy views for miles.

This hill on the outskirts of Barcelona has numerous lookout points with excellent views of the city below. Zip around on a Segway tour to soak up the vistas from the Mirador of Poble Sec and Montjuïc Castle, or take it all in from the rooftop terrace of the National Art Museum of Catalonia.

Teleferic del Port

Ever-expanding panoramas.

For a more dynamic view of Barcelona from above, take a ride on the Teleferic del Port, a cable car running from Barceloneta Beach to the top of Montjuïc. The 10-minute ride travels some 330 feet (100 meters) above the ground at its highest point, offering sweeping views of the city and the sea.

Park Güell

Gaudí's park is a must.

No trip to Barcelona would be complete without a visit to Gaudí’s impressive Park Güell, home to one of the city’s most recognizable vistas. Prebook a skip-the-line ticket to spend less time waiting in line and more time admiring the view.
