

Alabama Music Hall of Fame
The Basics
Visitors to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame will learn about such music greats as Nat King Cole, Hank Williams, Lionel Richie, and many more, as well as the stories behind their most famous songs. On a self-guided tour, you can climb aboard the tour bus of the band Alabama, see Elvis Presley’s original RCA recording contract, and read about each inductee into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. You can even play your favorite record on the hall’s classic Wurlitzer jukebox.

The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is a must-visit for music lovers.
The hall is wheelchair-accessible and has wheelchairs available for use.
Discounted admission is available for all active and retired military and AAA and AARP members with valid identification.
There is a gift shop on-site.
How to Get There
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is located at 617 Highway 72 West in Tuscumbia, Alabama, 10 minutes outside of Muscle Shoals. Driving from Nashville or Memphis will take around two and a half hours; it’s two hours from Birmingham, and one hour from Huntsville. There is free parking on-site.
When to Get There
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is open from Tuesday through Saturday, from morning until late afternoon. It is closed on July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Give yourself at least an hour to tour the museum.
Muscle Shoals Music Tour
While in the area, music lovers can tour other significant sites around Muscle Shoals. Notable places include FAME Recording Studios, a still-working studio that hosted such artists as Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and Otis Redding; the Shoals recording studio, where hits such as “Wild Horses” were recorded; and the W.C. Handy Museum and Birthplace, where the Father of the Blues was born.
